This version map would be the one that would be reprinted for over a century in textbooks dictionaries and encyclopedias. Both volumes contain various works by Cassini and de Le HIre. The offprints date from the 1870s to the 1950s. Each offprint was indexed by Wallace with a typewritten white label attached to the lower left corner of the front board with the author title date and journal listed. The original index card collection for these offprints is not available here. Many of these offprints have the name stamp or signature of Herbert Wallace on the front wrapper or title page.
