Cedric from New York to Liverpool July 22 1904 is included. 1944141117Los Angeles: Twentieth Century-Fox 1944. Two vintage studio still photographs from the 1944 film. Nominated for three Academy Awards. Based on John Steinbeck 1943 novella of the same name. Reference numbers are 619-53 black-and-white stamped on verso as "KEY SET" and 619-70 sepia apparently mounted for internal use. <br/><br/>The film follows a group of survivors stranded on a lifeboat following an attack on their merchant ship. Tensions are high as the group negotiates food rations and tries to plot a course to land or rescue. The film is the first in Hitchcock's "limited-setting" fims followed by "Rope" Dial M for Murder" and "Rear Window." Steinbeck who wrote the novella for the film was aggravated by the changes made to his work specifically to an African American character who he felt had been transformed into a grotesque caricature. <br/><br/>Shot on location in Florida and California. <br/><br/>8 x 10 inches. When a button on the base is pressed the Captain Jonathan Archer speaks. Made in 2002 by Hallmark for Paramount. The ornament commemorates the 25th anniversary of Star Trek. Her first film roles include Cupid’s Fireman 1923 with Buck Jones Riders of the Purple Sage a925 Hands Up! 1926 and The Chinese Parrot 1927. She also starred as Rebecca in the film adaptation of Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm 1932 with Ralph Bellamy followed by Winner Take All with James Cagney John Ford’s Pilgrimage 1934 with her last film Captain Calamity released in 1936. Includes the original envelope. In fine condition. Star Trek was directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as James T. Kirk Zachary Quinto as Spock Karl Urban as Bones Zoe Saldana as Uhura Simon Pegg as Scotty John Cho as Sulu Anton Yelchin as Chekov and Bruce Greenwood as Pike. Starring actors Meyer Seigner Marie Sabouret and Micheline Boudet figure prominently in the images in lavish period costumes. A few have cropping annotations either on the glassine sleeve or on an affixed glassine slip. Laid in is a signed typescript letter from "Y. Guillot" addressed to Gay Lussac at Cinedis the film's distribution company and dated 1960. Guillot was "Le Chef du Service des Editions" and he thanks Lussac for sending him "ektachromes" from the film promising to include images in upcoming issues of his publication. Housed in an original French Crumiere paper photo box with annotations in holograph ink and pencil on the lid. <br/><br/>Based on Moliere's 1670 five-act play "Le Bourgeois gentilhomme" about social climbing and the bourgeois personality. Seigner plays Jourdain middle-aged and aspiring to aristocracy. He learns fencing dancing music and philosophy constantly making a fool of himself. The second adaptation of Moliere's play after Humberto Gómez Landero's "El gran Makakikus 1944 and preceding Roger Coggio's "Le bourgeois gentilhomme" 1982. <br/><br/>18 transparencies 3.25 x 4.5 inches 1 two-frame transparency 2.25 x 4.75 inches. In 1861 the Federal government hired her to ship supplies to Fort Sumter but it was fired on by cadets from The Citadel. D. 2pg. 8†x 12â€. June 16 1855. Punta Arenas Nicaragua. A contemporary copy of a financial agreement for the steamer Star Of The West. The document states in part “In the Article of Agreement dated March the twentieth one thousand eight hundred and fifty five entered into between me and acting legally for Michael Baker of South Dartmouth Mass as his attorney of the first part and Capt E W Turner of the Steam Ship Star of the West of New York of the second part – it was agreed to appoint Mr. Charles Morgan of New York to be the approver of the names on the ‘Bond’ for the Sum of Twenty five thousand dollars to be given by the said E W Turner pledging payment on receipt of the first sample of the ‘Guano’ at any port from the Island or Islands in the Pacific Ocean the Geographical position of which the said Michael Baker and myself have bound ourselves to furnish and have for ever transferred all right and title thereto as set forth in the Article of Agreement…â€.
