Mary Saurin Sister Mary Scholastica Joseph brought a case against her superior and another nun for assault and conspiracy to drive her from her convent and have her expelled from the order. Known as "the great convent trial" it was a sensational case that fueled contemporary prejudices against Catholics monastic orders and women. These themes are apparent in the Solicitor-General's opening remarks. This case shows "what women were capable of when they shut themselves up from their kind and did violence to the instincts of their nature and the great though mean and petty cruelty they could wreak upon a sister in the name of a religion of love" 2. The jury found in favor of the defendants on the counts of assault and for the plaintiff on the counts of libel and conspiracy to have her expelled from the convent. One script a Final Draft belonging to an auditioning actor Jenny Sullivan with her name in holograph ink on the front wrapper; the other script is bound in red faux leather with gilt tiles a color photograph of a human fetus bound in and both scripts bear letters from a professor at the University of California describing the possible methods and techniques detailed in the screenplay and their applicability to contemporary 1974 ethical and legal conditions. Brief annotations on laid-in slips in holograph ink throughout the first script. Laid in is a signed letter from director Nelson to Jenny informing her that she is a finalist for the role of Victoria ultimatly the role went to Barbara Carrera. <br/> <br/>An exploitation film owing much to "Bride of Frankenstein" as well as the technological advances with DNA in the 1970s. Dr. Paul Holliston Hudson is a scientist who discovers a method to accelerate the birth cycle to just a few days. "The purpose of the rebellion was to overthrow the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and subvert the socialist People's Republic of China."<br /><br />Profusely illustrated with gruesome color photos of soldiers allegedly beaten or killed by "ruffians" and "thugs" as well as photos of burned-out vehicles; ordinary people supposedly thanking soldiers for ending the rebellion; scenes from Tiananmen Square and the surrounding streets; government and party leaders; and much more.<br /><br />This booklet is rare. OCLC lists only three institutional holdings: Harvard and Linfield College in the U.S. and the International Institute of Social History in the Netherlands. Named after this individual is Booksin Elementary a high achieving elementary school located in the heart of San Jose's Willow Glen suburb. Henry Crocker a blithe Royal Air Force pilot realizes that the constant violence of war is beginning to take a harsh toll on Lt. Jerry Young his flying ace buddy who is showing signs of cracking up. When Young breaks down and eventually commits suicide Crocker decides to stage his death as an in-air combat casualty in order to save his friend's reputation. The script's original ending seen in this early version depicted Crocker years later as a bedraggled old man homeless and alone staring at a memorial plaque with an epitaph praising Young's heroism. <br/><br/>Tall peach titled self wrappers noted as FIRST SCRIPT on the front wrapper rubber-stamped production No. 451 dated January 30 1933 with credits for screenwriters Bogart Rogers and Seton I.
