One page 4toedges discoloured spike-hole causing minor loss text clear as follows: "Allow me to express my acknowledgments to you for the very handsome though unsolicited manner in which in the last number of your Repository you have been pleased to speak of my little picture now exhibiting at Somerset House.- As I am a neighbour of yours if in return for your politeness you will accept of a miniature of yourself or of any of your family I shall be very happy to paint and present it to you." In frail condition with slight loss to one corner and another corner torn away and repaired with archival tape. A full-length view of the elegant artist in long painter's robes pointing a brush at a painting on an easel with three paintings including a miniature on the wall behind her and two paintings leaning against the same wall and a small sculpture on a painted clock behind the easel.
