The company reached great popularity in the Victorian period making ecclesiastical fittings and ornaments for churches throughout England. The firm's interest in Gothic Revival led them to stained glass production in the late 1800s in which they then produced windows for churches around the world. <br/><br/>These cartoons of windows are finely detailed showing the wide ranges of colors used in production. The two larger cartoons are annotated to indicate corrections of specific color choices. unknown books

An attractive Meiji Era souvenir album with subtly hand-tinted collotype plates depicting a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony. One of several editions produced between 1906 and 1920; per the excellent bibliography of Tamamura's souvenir albums at ours would appear to be the Third Edition of 1910. Known for dark half shaded intense prints keen on dramatic negative manipulation yielding profound shadow expression and drama in an era of still repose popularized in portraiture.
