The original printing of the catalogue of some of the visually striking protest art and poetry submitted from around the world for this touring exhibition/event 1980-81. A manifestation of the next generation of the San Francisco Poster Brigade earlier the Wilfrid Owen Brigade it was organized as a mail-art event with associated performance art film and video music and allied events. After a call for submissions in August 1980 it opened in San Francisco in October moved to Los Angeles for November/December opened in Tucson in March 1981 moved to the Parsons School of Design in New York in July 1981 and finished up at the Southern Exposure Gallery in San Francisco in May 1982 with additional venues for film performances readings and music. The compiler also took a few candid photos of pilot extraordinaire Bob Hoover. He was obviously star struck as the photos consist of Mr. Hoover speaking standing in crowd and sitting in a car! No close ups ha!
