Group of material includes: a black and white 7 1/2" x 10 1/4" approx. size photographic 'show card' for the production mounted to an old card matte; with 14 including one double 8" x 10" bw photographic stills from the production depicting the dramatic scenes of this nautical-theme murder adventure story; with a "Rough Sketch for the stage setting." of the play designed by George Jenkins and the sketch initialed by him with manuscript location instructions in red surrounding the entire sketch approx. 14 1/2" x 24"; with a 'clean' copy of the same with no instructions or added materials perhaps to be used for later notation. with detailed stage-left cross-section approx. 18" x 18" with some added details in red; with detailed stage-right cross-section approx. 18" x 28" with some added details in pencil; with the ground plan of the set also very detailed as to materials coloring measurements details of position more scale of 1/2" = 1 foot; about 18" x 33"; with another rolled sheet detailing several important profiles of the set-work in the production 17 3/4" x 34" approx.; the show Starred Lloyd Nolan and Alfred Ryder with Harry Guardino earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance Also John McLiam Al Lewis of later Munsters fame John Barracuda David Winters and Robert Drivas Louis Guss Stephen Bolster Don Gantry Buck Kartalian many of whom achieved notable fame in theater and film; Anna Hill Johnstone designed the rough and tumble 'noir-navy' costumes; the stage designs by George Clarke Jenkins 1908-2007 American Academy Award-winning production designer and three-time Tony Award nominee; the photographs are interesting and certainly portray the dramatic feeling of the play however the stage details and architectural quality of the sets make this collection even more interesting; some old staple holes to the edges of the set materials; everything in generally very good condition.
