Story of what happens to piglets who defy their mother when told to stay at home while she went out to the market -- they end up in the mouth of a sly alligator named Big Bad Snipper Snapper. Only by odd circumstances not to be divulged here are they saved as the alligator's sneeze sends them through the air back to their home's front porch. Berger we are told was "better known as Seattle's all weather swimmer" for swimming "Daily with hundred of wild ducks seagulls and mud hens for company." He was also a recreational director in the Northwest for many years. MacPherson's enchanting illustrations would seem to owe a debt to Looney Tunes.
