193310947Paris: Flammarion 1933. First Edition. Staplebound. Near fine. Square small quarto unpaginated. 12 leaves of illustrations the first six printed versos only; the second six printed rectos only. With eight color gels laid into their original envelope tipped onto the rear wrapper as issued. There are two each of green blue red and orange. Though the instructions direct the reader to cut them into small peices to be used all eight are intact. As primary colors they can all be combined to create different shades when laid over the illustrations. These French "magic lantern" books are quite uncommon in the trade and especially so in complete unused condition. There is mild soiling to the wrappers with some small chips to the extremities including the spine but the contents are in excellent condition; overall a near fine example. Text entirely in French.
