'This catalogue represents the first sale that is on record of plumbago drawings, and Mr. Wellesley's collection includes some of the finest examples it has been possible to obtain. Mr. Wellesley has had but one serious rival in collecting plumbagoes, and he has been left far behind., Even the National collections have been outdistanced. David Loggan is represented at his very best, and the drawings by Faithorne, Nanteuil and Robert White are the finest that have ever come into the market' (introduction). EXTREMELY SCARCE.
