They also are closed.The spine Of dj has 1/2" pieces missing from all 4 corners. The other edgesof the dj have occasional small 1/4" tears that are closed. where there arepieces missing the white backing of the glassine cover shows through and does create a contrast to the dj color. . The hinge split is at title page but is still tight and not unsightly. The contents of the book are also tight and clean. The glassine cover is not taped down and is put on by us for protection and is removable.
