The first printing of the first English-language edition. 4to. 308pp. Maroon cloth lettered in silver at the spine. With four colour plates and hundreds of photographs plus many drawings and designs by the author. A slight ridge to the backstrip a touch of bruising to the backstrip ends and the cloth just fractionally marked in one or two places. Top edge and endpapers very slightly spotted. A very good copy in quite lightly rubbed nicked and soiled price-clipped dust wrapper with three or four tiny fractions of edge-loss. A splendid Le Corbusier monograph written and designed by the author who also selected all of the illustrations and supervised the page layouts. The Architectural Press, London Hardcover

Typed letter signed by Heidi Weber dated February 23 1967 and price list laid in. In the letter Weber responds to a request for a price list for lithographs and an inquiry about purchasing Le Corbusier furniture. She advises that a New York licensee for the manufacture of the furniture will be announced sometime that Spring making it easier to buy the furniture in the US rather than to have it imported from Switzerland. Though not mentioned in the letter Centre Le Corbusier Heidi Weber Museum the final building designed by Le Corbusier would open in Zürich in July of that year. Very Good creasing to cover near spine resulting in some bubbling and peeling to lamination wear and rubbing to extremities internally clean and bright. <br/><br/> Centre Le Corbusier : Heidi Weber paperback

Uncommon handsome 1938 Le Corbusier portfolio with 40 crisp plates complete 5 of them color pochoirs 4 of them color lithographs. The entire study bound in 2 wrappered sections "Etudes" and "Planches" both contained loose as issued within a pictorial card chemise. Both sections clean and VG to Near Fine the chemise VG with light rubbing and soling at the panels and lacking the original ribbon-ties. Still though very presentable and well-preserved. Part of Editions Morance's formidable "L'Architcture Vivante" series published under the direction of Jean Badovici. Editions Albert Morance unknown

Screw-bound red cloth over still paper boards with gilt decorations. Contains 30 color or black and white gelatin silver photographs measuring around 7" x 9" with captions in Czech mounted in a custom album. Slight bowing on the boards and some fading thus very good with fine photographs.<br /> <br /> Superb propaganda photography album issued by the state-owned Svit shoe company which had seized the assets of the world-famous Bata company in the Le Corbusier-designed city of Zlin Czechoslovakia later renamed Gottwaldov after the first Communist president of the country Klement Gottwald. A handwritten dedication starts the album and presents it to the workers of the Svit factory to celebrate their productivity. The photographs that follow are professional images showing workers in the factory as well as the city itself each with a printed caption. Besides working people are seen walking through the city tending their gardens and swimming in the local pool. School children are also photographed playing outside and at a puppet show. <br /> <br /> A fascinating album with striking images documenting the wonders of the Le Corbusier-designed modern communist city.
