Interior contents very clean. <br /> <br /> Monument was sculpted by Tate Marble Works in Pickens County Georgia and erected on the top of Mount Oglethorpe. The original southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail was on the summit of Mount Oglethorpe. Due to over development and vandalism in the Monument was moved to Jasper Georgia.
