A chance meeting between Eric Burdon and Johhny Steel in a Newcastle Art College in the 1950s led them to form the nucleus of a band of hell raisers and musicians which over time resulted in The Animals a major musical phenomenon of the sixties. The story is told as a factual novel interweaving the personal story of Terry with the real events and influences which carried them to the top.
