Includes detailed descriptions of the exhibit palaces foreign pavilions state buildings and 'The Zone' the amusement area. Features a complete guide to the exposition's sculpture mural paintings and inscriptions which were major draws for the 'Jewel City.' The book is filled with vintage advertisements for contemporary San Francisco hotels restaurants and transit services providing a unique snapshot of the city in 1915. This copy includes the Peter's San Francisco Locator which was often laid in or sold alongside the guide to provide a bird's-eye view of the city to help visitors find their way from their hotels to the Marina District fairgrounds.
