This is a fine hardcover copy with a fine hardshell slipcase decorated in gilt, with no wear at all. Completely clean inside and out. Text in English and Italian. Preface by Alvise Zorzi. Illustrated in color with many photographs of contemporary shoe designs by Rene Fernando Caovilla (1938- ). Caovilla began collaborating with Christian Dior and Chanel in the 1980's. In 2000 he began working with Karl Lagerfeld to create unique bejewelled shoes and their customers included many well known actresses and models. 14" high X 10" wide, 55 text pages + plates. Legatura in mezza pelle - Testo in francese. Condizioni buone. Piccoli segni di tarlo su alcune pagine iniziali che non ledono il testo. Strappo all'ultima pagina come da foto.
4° (ca. 27 x 18,5 cm). 252, 172 Seiten, Fraktur, mit zahlreichen Illustrationen. Halbleinen der Zeit mit montiertem Rückenschildchen. (= Berliner Muster- und Modenzeitung, 9.1859-10.1860, 1. & 2. Quartal). Der Einband mit starken Gebrauchsspuren, der Rücken lose, der Rückentitel nicht lesbar. Die Seiten papierbedingt lichtrandig und teilweise stockfleckig, einige Seiten lose mit Randläsuren. Insgesamt noch befriedigender Zustand. Selten! Halbmonatlich erscheinende Modezeitschrift. Die Berliner Staatsbibliothek z. B. hat nur die Jahrgänge 1851-1858 im Bestand. - Jedes Heft mit 8-12 Seiten (1859) bzw. 12-16 Seiten (1860), hier in einem Band vereint. Es handelt sich um die Nachfolgeausgabe der "Berliner Muster- und Modenzeitung für weibliche Arbeiten und Moden", erschienen 1851-1858. Ab No. 5 des zehnten Jahrgangs (1. März 1860) mit einem "modernisierten" Schriftzug im Titelkopf, sowie einer neuen Titelillustration. Die Hefte enthielten meistens Beilagen wie Mustertafel, Schnittmuster oder kolorierte Graphiken. In dem Band sind noch zwei Beilagen enthalten, der Rest fehlt.

Condizioni di conservazione Esemplare ben conservato con leggere tracce d'uso, mancanza della legatura con conseguente allentamento delle cuciture dei fascicoli (vedi foto), interni con qualche piccola lieve brunitura, margini est. di qualche pagina con alcuni minimi strappetti (al margine sup. dell'occhietto è, presente uno strappetto di un paio di cm). Pagine ancora in larga parte intonse. Esemplare da rilegare, ma bella pubblicazione, ancora parzialmente intonsa. L'autore, il Professore Giuseppe Riva, è, stato un noto storico locale monzese, fondatore del periodico "La Patria", molto attento al lavoro operaio e cotoniero. SETT99.L9308 N "

Cm. 22, pp. xiv, 278. Con 147 incisioni nel testo. Legatura del tempo in mezza pelle con punte. Dorso schiarito, buona conservazione. Interessante studio storico sulla cosmetica del capo e principalmente quella dei capelli che... per qualche popolo antico fu una vera arte. Uno dei pochi trattati sull'argomento. Bibliografia in fine al volume.
