La première édition connue de Colas (II, 2655) est de 1781, il cite ensuite d'autres éditions pour les années 1783, 1785, 1786 et 1791 (II, 2656-2659) mais ne connaît pas celle de 1782. Bien complet avec une collation identique à celles données par Colas pour les années 1781 et 1783. L'illustration se compose d'un titre gravé par Max von Grimm, et de 133 planches réparties par régiments : - Infanterie (3 planches). - Deutsche Regimenter (40 planches). - Garnisons-Regimenter (2 planches). - Ungarische Regimenter (12 planches). - Italienische und Niederländische Regimenter (7 planches). - National Gränz-Regimenter (20 planches). - Cavallerie : - Carabiniers (2 planches). - Cuirassiers (9 planches). - Dragoners (7 planches). - Cheveaux Legers (6 planches). - National-und andere Hussaren (13 planches). - Artillerie Regimenter und verschiedene Corpi (13 planches). Single-sheet chromolithographic print. With 47 numbered illustrations of military uniforms in 6 groups. Captioned at head on the stone. Plus copied leaf of text with explanatory notes. In fine condition. ~ Extract from Meyers Konversations-Lexikon. Signed by Richard Knötel on the stone. Beautifully illustrated military uniforms of various armies and forces. With dense colours and excellent gloss. An authoritative manual on chromolithography in 1885 (Colour and Colour Printing, by W. D. Richmond) asserts the need for at least 9 separate stones to achieve such richness, but in fact the number of stones used was often more than 20. The print measures 24.5x31 cm overall size and 20x26.5 cm image size and is most suitable for framing.
Quarto. 24 single-sheet colour plates of helmets and headgear from the Schuberth-Werk Collection, painted by Kaphannel. Placed in original portfolio, this bit worn. All plates are in fine, as-new condition. ~ Two sets of 12 plates each. Each plate corresponds to a month in the calendar. For the years 1978 and 1979.
Oblong crown quarto. Original printed cardboard slipcase for the volume "Das Zeitalter der Deutschen Einigung 1864-1914 Band 2". Printed in brown ink with large decorative lettering and with the emblem "Gegen Trust und Konzern!" With contemporary faded shelf ticket at spine. Trifle foxed, in a very good condition. ~ First edition. Original slipcase for one of the volumes in the series, an extremely rare survivor and a collector's item.

Excellent copy, complete in all respects, remarkably well preserved. ~ First edition. A charming collection, depicting the cavalry of Britain, France, and Germany respectively. Produced with the collaboration of the Army Museums in Leiden and Bruxelles. Ritmeester published these collectibles from 1887. Rare.
