Single-sheet chromolithographic print. With 47 numbered illustrations of military uniforms in 6 groups. Captioned at head on the stone. Plus copied leaf of text with explanatory notes. In fine condition. ~ Extract from Meyers Konversations-Lexikon. Signed by Richard Knötel on the stone. Beautifully illustrated military uniforms of various armies and forces. With dense colours and excellent gloss. An authoritative manual on chromolithography in 1885 (Colour and Colour Printing, by W. D. The print measures 24.5x31 cm overall size and 20x26.5 cm image size and is most suitable for framing.
