Incisione in rame composta da 24 lastre incise in rame, di mm 360x470 circa caduna, riunite a formare una grande carta murale di cm. 200x250. Esemplare, intelato all'epoca, dipinto da mano del tempo. Celebre carta degli Stati Sardi, che comprende il Piemonte, Valle d'Aosta, Savoia, Liguria, ed i territori confinanti. Firmata sul rame in basso a destra "Jacobus Stagnonus incidit Taurini 1772, titolo su drappo a "trompe-l'oeil" in basso a sinistra, il mare animato da vascelli, rosa dei venti in alto. Questa carta è a torto considerata una riedizione di quella del Borgonio, ma in realtà essa ne conserva solo 7 rami, mentre 17 sono di nuova fattura, basati su nuovi rileva menti topografici. Tra il febbraio e l'ottobre 1772 se ne tirarono 300 esemplari; ad oggi pochii sono conservati e sono assai rari. Monumento cartografico importantissimo per il Regno Sardo, sotto l'aspetto geografico, storico e amministrativo. Sebbene provata da lunga esposizione a luce e polvere e con qualche difetto, conserva un grande fascino ed effetto decorativo, in quanto presentata con due lunghi bastoni antichi in legno nero modanato, cui è sostenuta da fettucce di tela nera originali..
