Volumes of this splendid series were produced in two bindings, the relatively common grey cloth and the much less common red cloth (as here). All but five of the fine photographic plates are by Moholy-Nagy; the illustrations and cartoons are by Bradley and Lancaster; most of the engravings are taken from Ingram's 'Memorials of Oxford' (1837).
