No. 196 of 300 copies quarto size 111 pp. signed by Arthur Miller and Stan Washburn with original publisher's white paper wrapping. Arthur Asher Miller 1915-2005 was seminal figure in twentieth-century American Theatre. A prolific writer of over thirty plays which won him a Pulitzer Prize and multiple Tony Awards he questions "death and betrayal and injustice and how we are to account for this little life of ours"; for nearly six decades Miller created characters that wrestle with power conflicts personal and social responsibility the repercussions of past actions and the twin poles of guilt and hope n. b. info from The National Endowment for the Humanities website. In "The Price" Miller details familial conflict and relationships through the pull of memory and the past as they collide with the present.

Stan Washburn b. 1943 a painter and printmaker who has collaborated with the Arion Press on publications such as "The Lie of the Mind" by Sam Shepard and "Tono-Bungay" by H.
