Francis Marion Crawford (1854-1909) was an American writer noted for his many novels, especially those set in Italy, and for his classic weird and fantastic stories. Horace Thompson Carpenter (1857-1947), was an illustrator, artist and art writer of the late 19th and early 20th century U.S. Rome K.
