Grayson served in both the SC State House of Representatives and SC State Senate. He was an outspoken Unionist who published a pamphlet entitled "Letter to Governor Seabrook" criticizing the secessionist movement. This pamphlet is a secessionist's reply published in response to Grayson's printing a second edition of his pamphlet. Full refund if not satisfied. unknown
