The script's development history began in the US with Vanguard Films and this draft by Dinelli and was ultimately produced by Republic Pictures in conjunction with Herbert Wilcox Productions in the UK. Script credit was ultimately given to Pamela Bower. <br/><br/>Michael Wilding stars as Bentley's Trent a fallible amateur investigator who becomes tied up in the questionable suicide of a wealthy man named Manderson. <br/><br/>Blue titled wrappers noted as First Draft on the front wrapper rubber-stamped copy number dated May 22 1947 with credits for writer Bentley and screenwriter Dinelli.
