These Streamlined Modern style stoves included the “Modernique†“Aristocrat†“Duchess†and “Princess†series allowing hot water coils and drafts offering an even supply of air. Montag 1854-1943 was a German-American who apprenticed initially as a printer and after the Civil War became an iron molder worked in San Francisco and then organized in 1880 the Montage & Cleave Stove & Furnace Works.
