Previous owner's name or sticker in front section of the book. 213 pages, some b&w prints, contents include: Fishing, Fowling, Hunting, Horse and hound: training of hounds, dogs, stag, wild boar, lion, Ethiopians fighting lions, Bacchus hunting by wine, etc.

Exemplaire numéroté sur Annam de Rives (177/528). André Galland (né à Sedan (dans les Ardennes) en 1886 et mort en 1965), fils d’un fabricant de draps, a été fait chevalier de la Légion d'honneur en 1933, achèvement d'une vie de dessinateur et d'illustrateur ayant influé sur son époque. Artiste éclectique, il a aussi créé des faïences, des affiches et des lithographies qui sont aujourd'hui des pièces recherchées par les collectionneurs. Bacchus est un Dieu romain. C'est le dieu du vin, de l'ivresse, des débordements, notamment sexuels, ainsi que de la nature. Priape est un de ses compagnons favoris. Les fêtes de Bacchus s'appellent les bacchanales.
