Set up like a book with a introduction titled "On Dining" a "Table of Contents" page numbers and on the lower wrapper a place for notes. This menu also includes a wine and champagne list as well as cocktails and beer. Old Dixie Bar-B-Q restaurant can be found in the 1951 San Francisco City Directory. However there is no directory for the years 1950 or 1952. Old Dixie is not listed in the 1948-49 or the 1953 directory. A rare piece of BBQ history in the Bay Area. Allied Printing unknown books

Two full page illustrations on upper and lower wrappers 8 smaller vignette illustrations throughout. 9" x 6-3/4" <br/><br/>Duke Ormsby worked for the San Francisco Municipal Railway from 1914 - 1951. Signatures are on the first page. Four signatures from Elmer E. Robinson 1894 - 1982 - 33rd Mayor of San Francisco Duke C. Ormsby - General Superintendent of Transportation who is being honored Chas. D. Miller - Operating Manager Municipal Railway and George W. Evington - Committee. The illustrations on the wrappers depict assumed to be Duke C. Ormsby working and dreaming of fishing by a creek on the upper wrapper and fishing and thinking about work on the lower wrapper. These were done by another member of the committee Chas. L. Reed. One could also say he did the smaller illustrations as well base of style similarities. Dishes served at the event had silly names realting to transportation such as "Crab Salad a la Muni Railway" "Cable Car Poullet" and to drink "High Octane Wine"! Progam started with an introduction from Donald Mazzoni the Master of Ceremonies from Wm. H. Scott a presentation from J. H. Turner Manager of Utilities and ending with a response from D. C. After the earthquake in 1906 the restaurant survived but was unable to stay in business under prohibition. Chef Calixte Lalanne opened the Ritz French Restaurant in 1933 after prohibition had ended. In 1942 when Calixte passed his son opened restaurant under the name Ritz Old Poodle Dog to honor his father. Dishes listed are "Tagliarini or Ravioli with Italian Sauce.45" "Special Creamed Crab a la Chef.75" and "Hearts of Lettuce Hard Boiled Egg Anchovies with 'Ritz' Dressing.50".
