In 1965 generations later the family opened Vaucresson Cafe Creole on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. This place lasted about 10 years. Vince Vaucresson said in an interview in 2017 that it was the "first African-American owned business on Bourbon Street since Reconstruction."
