Among his most popular works are genre paintings conveying an atmosphere of intimacy and veiled eroticism. What appears to be bound in covers and spine made of card. Colored portrait frontis of fragonard. Crisp and clean printed in 1913. Contents are untouched and as new. This also has a hard board slip case with front edge being leather covered and matching the leather cover and minor shelf wear and the underside and edges of the slip case. Half brown morocco bindings with corners spines slightly faded with five raised bands outlined in black fillets marbled paper boards combed paper endpapers and pastedowns top edges gilt. Minor rubbing to foot of spine of first volume which shows pale dampstaining to heads of final leaves as well as a paper loss to head of final pastedown some light foxing.
