L' EXEMPLAIRE EST ENRICHI DES DEUX GRAVURES SUPPLÉMENTAIRES RÉSERVÉES AUX 6 EX. DE TÊTE, SIGNÉES PAR MASSON. Deux amoureux nus et fièvreusement enlacés, un sujet de prédilection de l'artiste qui grave pour ce poème trois de ses plus belles pointes- sèches sur celluloïd. Il s'agit ici du plus grand format utilisé par PAB avec Masson et de son plus petit tirage. Le poème élégamment sensuel de René Crevel fut publié en premier lieu dans la revue Cap en 1924. "Ton regard couleur de fleuve / Est l'eau docile et qui change / Avec le jour qu'elle abreuve."

Matted and framed entire piece measures 19 inches by 26.5 inches. In fine condition. Prominent Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali was a skilled draftsman best known for the striking images in his surrealist work. His painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters. His best-known work The Persistence of Memory was completed in August 1931. Dali's expansive artistic repertoire included film sculpture and photography in collaboration with a range of artists in a variety of media. Dali attributed his "love of everything that is gilded and excessive my passion for luxury and my love of oriental clothes" to an "Arab lineage" claiming that his ancestors were descended from the Moors. hardcover books
