Bonfils was one of the most versatile illustrators of his time, and in this book he evokes the frivolity of bourgeois Parisian life by adopting the style of the "Nabis": Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard, and most especially Vuillard. One of 260 copies beautifully printed on fine Marias wove paper. From the collection of Luis de Caralt, the Barcelona publisher who was Spain's greatest collector of modern illustrated books (his bookplate). 4to. Loose as issued in original wraps (the front cover is a wonderful color lithograph). BRIGHT AND FINE. In the original board chemise and slipcase.
