DJ has some wear tears soiling and chips. Toliver joined the US ARMY AIR CORPS as a Flying Cadet in October 1937 and received his wings as a pilot in October 1938. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant on October 6 1938. In March 1941 he went to Montreal Canada and joined the Canadian Pacific Railroad Air Service as a contract pilot flying Lockheed HUDSONS and Consolidated B-24s from Montreal to Gander New Foundland and on across the Atlantic Ocean to Prestwick and Ayr. Scotland. THE CPRRAS later became known as British Ministry of Aircraft Production and later as Atlantic Ferry Command and finally was known as RAFFerry Command. In March 1942 he returned to the USAAF on active duty. Here he had the opportunity to fly nearly 200 different types of aircraft. In 1951 Toliver began writing about the American Fighter Aces and his first book was published in 1965. Trevor James Constable 17 September 1925 31 March 2016 served 31 years at sea 26 of them as a radio officer in the U.S. merchant marine. He authored several books on the aerial warfare of World War II together with co-author Raymond Toliver. Constable was an author who produced 10 non-fiction books many well known to aficionados of famous fighter aces. His co-author on these works was Raymond Toliver a former U.S. Air Force pilot and official historian of the American Fighter Aces Association.
