One corrected typed character covered with white-out. An unusual and emotive artist statement/poem by Chagall based on his work "The Apparition 1917-1918" describing in beautiful imagery a "dream" "evoked" in Chagall. Chagall had reported that the painting was based his memory of a dream while a student; this statement either stands in captivating juxtaposition with that original dream or is an allusion to or perhaps description of that dream.
