C’est à cette époque qu’il reçoit la commande de deux murs de céramiques pour le siège de l’UNESCO à Paris. Jean Aubier publie Bagatelles végétales avec des textes de Michel Leiris et c’est aussi l’exposition des céramiques Terres de grand feu réalisées par Miró en collaboration avec Artigas à la galerie Mæght qui édite également une monographie avec des textes de Jacques Prévert et G. Ribemont-Dessaignes. “Cher ami, j ’ai été très touché par votre lettre qui m’encourage à travailler. L ’exposition restera ouverte jusqu’à la fin août, vous aurez peut-être la possibilité de la voir encore. Veuillez croire, mon cher Malraux, à mes meilleurs sentiments d’amitié et sympathie.
