Stitched in a plain paper cover browned and somewhat loose with some chips. Scattered foxing on some plates. A handsome set of plates reproducing the scenes painted by Raphael in the Vatican under commission by Pope Julius II della Rovere 1503 to 1513 and Pope Leo X de Medici1513-1521 including the Sala di Costantino the court Stanze that were part of the pope's residential quarters. The set includes careful depictions of the scenes on the walls the vaults and ceilings as well as two floor plans and portraits of Raphael and Giulio Pipi.
