The ark floats as water floods the land and people try to save each other from drowning -cited Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. From a complete set of 50 paintings of the Raphael Bible etched by Sisto Badalocchio and Giovanni Lanfranco after RaphaelÕs frescoes in the loggias of the Vatican. Lanfranco 1582-1647 ranks alongside Pietro da Cortona 1596-1669 and Guercino 1591-1666 as one of the leading Old Masters of High Baroque painting in Rome. A master of visual illusion his architectural and easel work had a very strong influence on painting in Naples inspiring many Baroque artists.
