Ikusaburo Ito (born 1926) was a Japanese abstract expressionist painter who started painting in the 1940's, and was very much influenced by the School of Paris. Frank O'Hara was a dynamic leader of the "New York School" of poets, a group that included John Ashbery, Barbara Guest, Kenneth Koch, and James Schuyler and the abstract expressionist painters in New York City during the 1950s and 1960s such as Larry Rivers, Jackson Pollock, and Jasper Johns.
