33967Geneva: Edito-Service S.A. 1st Edition. 1st Edition. Numbered 1269 limited facsimile edition 24 cm x 31 cm 9 1/2 x 12 inches published by Edito-Service S.A and printed in Italy on thick paper papier bouffant by Papeteries de Casteljoux. 219 loose bound pages with an extra section 'Suite' with all illustrations 'hors textes'. Both sections are enclosed in thick white portfolio paper which are in turn enclosed in a heavy green cardboard portfolio with leatherette buckram spine that slides into a green cardboard slipcase. Dorgelès' text in French Vacances Forcées a euphemism for the War years between 1940 and 1944 is adroitly complimented by 24 Dufy compositions lovingly recreated by Beltrand as color lithographs from woodcuts. The loose-bound pages and protective portfolio are in excellent - fine condition while the slipcase shows some wear and is slightly buckled on the bottom right side.

Again the second section 'Suite .' is 'hors textes' so all of Dufy's wonderful images are available without text and ready to be framed.

A superb portfolio.
