cm. 21,5 x 31, xvi-130 pp. con 121 figg. f.t. di cui 37 a colori. Rilegato. Gustavo Sforni (1888-1939) was a Florentine painter, art collector and benefactor. The choices he made as a collector (Fattori, Ghiglia, Cezanne, van Gogh, Degas, Medardo Rosso) are viewed against the background of the art market of the period and the critical debates in the Florentine journals in the early 20th century. Based on the analysis of his collection, which serves as a sort of ?pictorial diary?, the author reconstructs a triple portrait of this artist-collector-benefactor and reveals his pioneering critical judgment. He was among the earliest collectors of Cezanne. 1105 gr. xvi-130 p.
