The same front whitepage contains an additional undated dedication in Yiddish, but not by Raskin. Saul Raskin (1878-1966) was an eminent Russian born American artist, writer, lecturer and teacher, best known for his depiction of Jewish subjects, and illustrations of Jewish classic Jewish religious books: Ethics of the Fathers, Passover Haggadah and the five scrolls. This album contains an extensive selection of Raskin's drawings of Negev, Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, Safed, Haifa, Tiberias, Kvutzoth, and other Israeli cities and cites, as well as of the people of the Land, with captions in English (some drawings also contain inscriptions in English and/or Hebrew or Yiddish), preface in English and Yiddish, and introductory texts in English. 390x310mm. 128 pages.
