A very good copy the binding secure with a little separation to the covers at the foot of the spine a small chip to the head of the rear cover and minor wear to the extremities. The contents with scattered foxing are otherwise in very good order. A scarce mid-nineteenth-century edition of Sleeping Beauty the pages linen-backed and the illustrations hand-coloured. The title forms No. 11 in Ward and Lock's 'The National Nursey Tales' series which according to the publisher's advertisement are "handsomely printed with Coloured Illustrations price 6d. each or on Cloth indestructible 1s. as in the present copy. The attention of the Public is particularly called to this beautiful Series of Children's Books which are in every respect of a superior character.
