Signed twice in both Japanese & French with a red cinnabar Hanko seal. . This tribute painting was done by a Japanese artist after on of Foujita's cat paintings or woodblock prints. . The work is expertly drawn painted in color with a charming cat a sprig of red apple blossoms in the upper right next to the signature. This painting is without date . Color photos are posted to our website. . CONDITION: The work is in excellent condition with a singly tiny tea-colored dot just above the cat's back otherwise this is a flawless example. . Condition is Good only: while interior shows only occasional spotting and stitched binding is still sound with no loose pages the covers are heavily foxed spine has 4" closed tear and a few pieces missing and corners are a tad soft.
