The second Theobald edition. This edition includes 36 plays omitting the three plays that were not included in the First Folio Pericles; Two Noble Kingsmen and Edward III. Jeffers p499 for the 1733 1st edition: 'An edition of considerable merit'; 'The plates are accepted together with those in Rowe's 1709 edition as the earliest authentic pictures of the contemporary dress of characters.'; 'Theobald's outspoken criticism of Pope's edition earned him a principal part in Pope's Dunciad.'
