Binding is tight. Gilt page edges all the way around have light scuffing but overall in very good condition shiny and bright. Lovely 1/4" dentelles. White satin swirl pattern end papers and paste downs have very modest toning and a 1/2" x 1/8" chip to front end sheet. Gift inscription in fountain pen dated 1881 in beautiful script handwriting on second front end sheet. Frontispiece of Dore.
