Born in Wisconsin on January 1 1901 Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935 where he worked well into the 1950s.<br /> <br /> Claudette Colbert stars as an extraordinarily competent secretary who marries her boss-only to discover taking care of him at home proves much more challenging than taking care of the office.<br /> <br /> 8 x 10 inches to 8 x 11 inches. Bartlett made in all five journeys to the Levant and two to Jerusalem in particular the first in 1842. This is the first work written and illustrated by himself; previously he had illustrated works by others. This popular and influential work went through four editions the last in 1878 and was translated into Dutch and German. After Pickering's Vocabulary of Words Peculiar to The United States 1815 which treated a mere 500 words no significant work on Americanisms appeared until this work of Bartlett which Mencken calls "the first attempt at a comprehensive dictionary of Americanisms."
