19282221843<p>SUPERB WATERCOLOR COCKTAIL SCENE</p><p>Fine original watercolor and pencil drawing of a crowded patio sidewalk cafe scene with 21 standing and seated figures smartly dressed enjoying cocktails as their waiters circulate. In the back ground are two vignettes bar scenes with shelves stocked with various liqueurs. In one vignette a man sips his cocktail at the bar. This may well be the Cafe-de la Terrasse near the French village of Salies-de-Bearn where Eric Gill and daughter Joanna spent time in 1928. 11" x 15 1/4". Signed in lower left corner and dated 1928. Very good several small pin holes.</p><p>From the collection of Eric Gill.
