Theophile Steinlen 1859-1923 was a French Art Nouveau painter. He depicted Montmartre often as well as his daughter Collette; he also did poster art for cabaret owner Aristide Bruant.Illustrated with one hundred marvellous examples of the artist's work in colour.With a foreword by Camille de Saint Croix.The H. Piazza et cie. edition of this work. In a full cloth binding. Externally a trifle worn with marks to the spine and ink stains to the front board as well as some wear to the extremities and head and tail of the spine. Internally firmly bound.
