19322866Szeged 1932. Fold out. In very good condtion. Design by George Buday Photos by Judit Karasz. Design by George Buday Photos by Judit Karasz. Fold out. 1 p. 30 x 40 cm English text and illustrations on the back. Kárász’s photographs explore the material qualities and structures of everyday things. Whether folded fabric parched soil or cotton wool the physical nature of the subject is the primary focus. Informed by her Bauhaus teacher László Moholy-Nagy she felt that photography could make tangible aspects of its subject matter that could not be detected by the eye alone. In each case the resulting image is carefully constructed from a delicate balance of light and shadow across the surface of the chosen material. Kárász studied under photographer Walter Peterhan.
