First edition hard cover, no jacket, in acceptable condition for its age. From the collection of Susan Reynolds, a medieval historian, academic and tutor at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. Owner has penned FEP. Boards show shelf and handling wear consistent with age; bumped corners, wear and discolouration, notably to the spine, (cocked). Page block is tanned, as are paste downs, endpapers, and pages. Gutter breaks noted at pages 22-23, 54-55, 86-87, and 118-119. Pen mark on page 71. Despite this, pages are not loose, and text and photographs are unmarked. Pencil marks and marginalia remain extant, due to the academic recognition of Susan Reynolds. CN Used
