This is a fine hardcover copy in glazed illustrated boards, (no jacket, as issued). Completely clean inside and out. This is a sale catalog for an auction held at the Drouot in Paris on April 4, 2008. Text in French. The sale consisted of three collections of art nouveau decorative arts and sculpture. The first section had 49 lots of sculpture in bronze or other precious metals. The second section had pewter and dinanderie. The third section had about 100 lots of art nouveau glass with many pieces by Galle. The next section had about 35 lots of art nouveau ceramics. The last section had about 50 lots of French art nouveau furniture with wotk by Majorelle, Jallot, Emile Andre, Georges de Feure, Edward Colonna, and Henry van de Velde. 283 lots in all. All lots illustrated in color. No prices realized sheets, just price estimates for each lot. 11" high X 8" wide, 122 pages.
This is a very good softcover copy with only light wear. Very clean inside and out, just a small mark to the front cover and a few stress creases around the punch holes. It has three holes punched along the left edge for insertion into a ring binder. A business card of a Palazzetti executive stapled to the front cover. Inside 49 pages of black & white photographs and design specifications of classic modern furniture and their prices. 11" high X 8.5" wide, 49 pages. Henry Lapp (1862-1904) built simple, beautiful furniture, and painted wonderful folk-art water colors. Barbara Ebersol (1846-1922) is famous for her fraktur bookplates and paintings. A great resource for any one interested in American folk art and/or Amish life.
