First edition of this exceedingly scarce sales campaign catalogue illustrating Doernbecher’s line of Jazz Age bedroom furniture manufactured in Portland OR with an intent to raise the awareness of the fast-growing middle class market of better bedrooms and better furnished homes. The largely pen & ink drawings are designed to appeal to the widest range of Western customers and include specific examples of such stores as the Bellview Furniture Co. Idaho Sheppard & Lawrence Lorraigne CA Procter & Johnstone Home Furnishings Paducah KY and many others. Specific details for the 200 300 400 600 etc. suites are all available with finishes in Walnut Oak Silvertone Ivory and more. Following World War I Doernbecher manufacturing first established in Portland OR in 1921 maintained an assembly line for producing furniture nearly five miles long. Original sales literature catalogues and advertising manuals for the storied Western manufacturer are quite scarce. No copies in Worldcat.
